Our Company
Happy
Homes Management Services, Inc. strives to meet selected needs of our
global family by providing services that facilitate each individual’s
definition of “independence”. These
services do not require the special skills of a nursing degree. We work
with the Elderly, Physically and Cognitively Challenged, and those debilitated
by injury or disease. In collaboration with the Client, Family, and a
broad range of Community Resources, our goal is to facilitate and support
people during major life transitions. “Transition”
is defined as “a passing or shifting
from one condition, form, stage, activity, place, etc. to another……..
“. Through the supportive, practical services
that we offer, we intend to provide “a
conversation, act, or intervention that smoothly connects one place or
way of being to another…”
Our
Founder
Our company was founded and designed by Kathy Phinney in 1996. Kathy is
a Registered Nurse, a Mother, a Certified Life Coach, a Teacher and Transformation
Catalyst, and a wilderness guide. She has served the dying, people who
have experienced cult abuse and many forms of addiction, and the mentally
ill. Kathy has over twenty years of clinical experience in ICU / CCU,
Home Health Care, and Psychiatric specialties. Kathy has traveled extensively,
and is an advocate of honoring the wisdom and guidance offered to us by
the Primary Peoples who have lived in harmony with this planet. She is
passionate about working with those who are answering the call to expand
and shift personal and global realities.
Our
Staff
Our Caregivers and Service Providers are a compassionate and highly qualified
team of individuals who are carefully and selectively screened and trained.
References are verified and Federal and State Criminal Background Checks
are completed by HireRight, a national company devoted to and expert in
this process. Because these Caregivers embody differing levels of skill,
knowledge, and expertise, each Caregiver is matched carefully with the
needs of the respective Client. Part of the foundation of the philosophy
of Happy Homes Management Services is to honor and respect the Caregiver,
providing support, assistance, education, and training, and to allow flexibility
in their schedules according to their personal needs. The Caregivers that
work with Happy Homes Management Services are “Employees”
of the Company. Each Caregiver is covered by General Liability Insurance
as well as Worker’s Compensation Insurance. Employer taxes are paid
each month for each Employee. Clients are never expected to pay or “tip”
the Caregiver in any way.
